Dade County Genealogical Society

Welcome to the Dade Co. (MO) Genealogical Society!

We are a small Society, formed in 1990, to help preserve the genealogical history of persons who have come into contact with our County. The Society issues a newsletter in January, April, July and October of each year.

The Society is involved in many projects. These range from the preservation of old records that have been donated to the Society; providing information for the sesquicentennial of the Civil War in the Ozarks project; providing person-power for helping Dade County Library with research requests and providing part of the funds for a new microfilm/microfich reader and two computers.

Our collection of books, films and publications are housed in the Dade County Library along with their Local History and Warren Collection materials. The Library is located at 209 South Main Street in Greenfield. The Library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. the Library is closed on major holidays.
